Secret United Nations Meeting on UFO’s Confirmed!!
And here’s the second (new) article regarding the secret UN UFO meeting:
Secret United Nations Meeting on UFO’s Publicly Confirmed by French Expert
A French aviation expert has come forward to reveal his participation in a secret meeting held at the United Nations New York headquarters that discussed the UFO phenomenon from February 12-14. Gilles Lorant is an attaché to the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique ( CNRS- National Center for Scientific Research) which is a government-funded research organization, under the administrative authority of France ’s Ministry of Research. He is also a member Institute of Advanced Studies for National Defense (IHEDN - the French Organization that produced the 1999 COMETA Report). Both CNRS and IHEDN are prestigious scientific organizations in France , and Lorant was invited to attend the UN meetings in a professional capacity. A report released by a French UFO organization (Federation of European Airplane ), of which Lorant is an executive member, contained a summary of the UN meeting where he describes what happened at the meeting.
Lorant revealed that a series of UN meetings were held over a three day period. In the meetings there was discussion of a confidential report, prepared by the U.S. Air Force and a branch of the National Guard, concerning the societal impact of UFO sightings. The initial meeting was held on February 12 and, according to Lorant’s report, led to a request by three U.S. Senators for further discussions. Additional meetings were held immediately after on February 13 and 14. The implication is that three U.S. Senators attended the secret UN meetings. The meetings were very concerned about social upheaval from continued UFO sightings and the testimonies of individuals claiming to have first hand knowledge about UFO’s, extraterrestrial life, and future global events. It was reported that adverse public reactions to UFO sightings could have a dramatic economic impact that could lead to recessions in some countries.
The emphasis on possible societal upheaval due to growing UFO sightings was reminiscent of recommendations of the 1953 Robertson Panel, convened by the CIA, which identified adverse public reactions as a major security threat that could be exploited by foreign enemies. The UN discussions appeared to match concerns identified in both the 1953 Robertson Panel and the 1961 Brookings Report to the U.S. Congress, over ramifications of UFO reports and the eventual discovery of extraterrestrial life.
2009 was raised as the year when an important change in official attitudes concerning the UFO phenomenon could be made. This suggested that the official debunking policy underway since the 1953 Robertson Panel would be abandoned and more serious study of the UFO phenomenon would occur. This indicated an important policy shift were the study of UFO’s would be officially encouraged. However, certain global conditions would have to be met for the official opening. Most important appeared to be social stability in G-8 countries and the maintenance of liberal democratic systems in developing nations. Lorant also suggested that an official opening in attitudes would only occur if UFO sightings continued to occur at present levels.
Lorant’s testimony provides independent corroboration for an anonymous source who first came forward on February 12 to reveal to two New York researchers (Clay and Shawn Pickering) that the UN meeting had taken place. The source’s testimony was revealed in two articles published by this author on February 13 and 20 , and a follow up article by Robert Morningstar on Feb 25. Lorant’s testimony gives more detailed information of what happened at the meeting, and is consistent with statements from the original source of the UN meeting concerning approximately 40 participants, multiple issues being discussed as well as the UFO phenomenon, and public reactions to increased UFO sightings. Most importantly, Lorant provides insight into reasons for a significant change in official public policy towards the UFO phenomenon.
The reported results of the UN meetings indicate agreement was reached for an international strategy to more seriously study the UFO phenomenon in a manner that maintains present levels of social stability. This raises the possibility that those presenting information on UFOs/extraterrestrial life deemed to threaten national stability or financial systems, would receive special attention by national security agencies. The meetings results suggest that an official change in government policy from ‘debunking’ to ‘openness’ concerning UFO’s would lead to official approval to narrowly define study of the UFO phenomenon. However, those claiming to have first hand experience of extraterrestrial life would be targeted as charlatans. The UN meeting thereby suggested continuation of policies aimed at exploiting divisions in the UFO community between researchers advocating a strictly scientific study of the UFO phenomenon, and those wishing to discuss testimonies/documentation concerning extraterrestrial life visiting Earth.
Lorant’s testimony finally suggests that governments are being driven to more open approach to the UFO phenomenon due to the recent increase sightings that are projected to continue well into 2009. What follows is a summary report of the UN meetings based on Lorant’s testimony that appears in a newsletter of the FEA.

Dear Friends,
For strictly professional reasons and by coincidence, an active member of the FEA was invited to the UN in New York in the week starting February 11, 2008. This person took part in the development of discussions on the subject of UFOs, after the meeting of February 12. These discussions at the United Nations, brought forth further deliberations during three conferences held behind closed doors on 13 and 14 February, to which our member had the honor and pleasure to attend.
Here is a summary of the minutes that Mr. Gilles Lorant, invited to the meetings, kindly shared with us about what was said at the United Nations in New York :
On 12 February, the U.S. Air Force and the National Guard would actually presented a report on the subject of UFOs and the impact of sightings on many communities in the United States . Since this report was considered important for industrialized countries, representatives from several countries were invited to attend. Then, at the request of three United States Senators, a series of three meetings took place in the [two] following days, in the presence of representatives of forty representatives from twenty-eight member countries, including the Vatican (two countries did not send representatives). On both days, the subject of UFO’s was discussed, for no more than an hour and a half, as one of the causes of social upheaval of a country, due to the high probability of economic recession resulting from the speeches of ‘contactees’, charlatans, religious [figures], some scientists and prophecies. Sightings of UFOs increase sharply the risk of social unrest threatening the political systems of several emerging democracies.
According to Mr. Gilles Lorant, what was discussed was an opening in official attitudes when publicly considering, in future, how to treat the UFO phenomenon.
An official opening to be held under two conditions:
1) Until the end of 2009, that social peace in the G8 countries is guaranteed around the liberal democratic model ( US version)
2) By the end of 2009, that the UFO sightings disturbing “our neighbors” continues throughout the world.
Furthermore, also discussed was what position to adopt in case a non-aligned country decided to make public their findings on the [UFO] topic. The atmosphere was rather serious, according to Mr. Lorant, the participants were, in fact, cognizant of the “presence of our neighbors” in our environment.
Conclusion
The suggestion agreed upon at the United Nations by the representatives of the 28 nations, in the course of these exchanges, is of paramount importance for public recognition of the topic. The official treatment of information relating to UFOs could be a turning point at the international level, if the circumstances remain favorable. The coming years could show a surprising development of papers on the subject on the part of our governments.

Vehicular UFO Experiences, Sign Of The Times?
Driving.Ca have published a few articles recently regarding the UFO phenomenon. Their recent one is regarding UFOs and how they interact with/affect motor vehicles, or more precisely how the parallels that can be drew between UFO sightings which are experienced while in motor vehicles and any subsequent interruption to the electrics/engine of the vehicle are due more to cultural influence and prior knowledge of similar events, rather than any physical manifestation.
Not something I entirely agree with but is an area that has always interested me and I received a fascinating report last July (2007) from a witness who was ex-military. He experienced a strange event while driving his truck through Durango, (Bondad) while driving a sizeable vehicle a UFO, “Buzzed” the vehicle and the witness felt a direct physical disturbance on his vehicle as a result. So panicked was the witness that he pulled over and checked his vehicle and the surrounding area, at which point he noticed broken/damaged branches on a tree which was adjacent to the truck, here’s a section of his initial report.
“I commute between Aztec New Mexico and Durango Colorado . Last night I was coming home (from Durango toward Aztec), through a small nothing town called Bondad in Colorado…..I drive a big Dodge 2500 Diesel truck, this truck is not affected by much. Something was off to the left in my field of view, right over top of a bluff, it was kind of bright, I thought at first it was maybe a bright light on top of an oil or gas rig. But suddenly it just shot backwards out of my sight, way too fast to be a plane, I mean it SHOT back out of sight, as in there one second, and gone the next, no way was this a plane.
So then I slowed down, quite a lot because I was a bit freaked out. I was slowing down from about 60 down to about 35, thinking what the hell was that thing.
About 10-seconds or so later I saw a bright light in my drivers side rear view mirror, almost looked like high-beams or something. I slowed down a bit more and then whatever that light was, shot right over my truck - so fast that the truck literally almost bounced - and like I said, nothing much can do that to a big 2500 truck, the thing shot over - super bright, it went over so fast that the truck felt like it went through a huge ditch (and there are no ditches on that road), it pushed my truck straight down - I assume wind pressure?? This thing went right over top, blinded me a bit and then it was WAY out in the sky, as in it went from being really close to being a small blip - and then it was gone - MAYBE 2 or 3 seconds went by. Way too fast to be anything man made as far as I know, and I spent 8-years in the Marines out in 29 Palms working with air to ground communications - I was one of those guys who told military jets where to drop ammo (I was a forward observer who called rounds down range) - trust me I have been around plenty of jets and this was NOT a jet - THERE WAS NO NOISE.
So I am really, confused and freaked out. I never took this UFO thing seriously - until now…..All I know is this - it was fast and bright and it shook my truck. ” (To read more about this UFO account, visit here.)
Another interesting account was that of Antonio Villas Boas who after being returned from an alleged abduction experience was surprised to find his tractor engine had been physically tampered with (disconnected from the battery). The Boas story is certainly an interesting one especially as it pre-dates most other abduction accounts and back in 1957 was one of the first which stimulated any media interest. Also, his entire experience was recounted without the use of any kind of hypnosis or suggestion, and even more strangely he apparently showed signs of exposure to radiation after the alleged abduction and suffered from mild radiation sickness, he never changed his story and never attempted to profit from it. But of course the reason it was so popular is I suspect more to do with the detailed sexual encounter he reported having with a humanoid alien while aboard the UFO. (Read more about this account here.)
Anyway, here’s the article published by Driving.Ca (February 29, 2008) titled:
Truth about how UFOs affect cars is, “Out there.”
June 21, 1954
Ridgeway, Ont: A couple spotted a UFO while driving near Lake Erie . The UFO was metallic, shaped like a flattened sphere and the witnesses chased it in their car. When the car crossed the UFO’s path, the car stalled. The UFO landed in the woods nearby and the car could only be restarted after pushing it some distance away.
May 1967
Vauxhall, Alta: A couple saw a lit object in the sky. During the sighting, the headlights of their car flickered. Another motorist’s engine failed during the sighting.
Winter 1995
Winnipeg, Man: A car driving northbound to Selkirk stopped dead on the highway. The ignition failed repeatedly. A disc-shaped UFO hovered over the car for 15 seconds, then disappeared. After the departure of the object, the car functioned again.

Tales of cars and their drivers encountering UFOs form a part of our modern popular culture. But are motorists really being afflicted with automotive malfunctions caused by unidentified flying objects or, worse, being abducted from their vehicles on lonely back roads by aliens from another realm?
Your answer may say more about you and your preconceptions than about the actual phenomena being reported, says Bufo Calvin, education director for the Organization for Paranormal Understanding and Support (OPUS) with headquarters in California . The problem with reports of strange encounters is that they’re often imbued with meaning by our own cultural references.
“Before a series of UFO reports in France in 1954, we rarely received reports of sightings from people driving along in cars — it was from people flying in airplanes…..Most of the significant reports of UFO encounters of the 1940s involved pilots. After the huge wave of sightings in France, the idea of car stops entered the public consciousness. ”
In essence, once the idea of UFOs being linked with car malfunctions becomes common knowledge, reports of similar encounters become less reliable. The original report may either inspire intentional copycats or unintentionally provide others with a new framework to re-interpret previous experiences. A series of widely reported car malfunction cases in Levelland, Texas in 1957 essentially tainted the pool of virgin North American witnesses for good.
Betty and Barney Hill
A 1965 abduction incident involving UFOs reported by Betty and Barney Hill in New Hampshire was widely repeated in newspapers, a subsequent book, Interrupted Journey, and a 1975 TV movie, The UFO Incident. Tales of similar encounters became more common in the 1980s, with people reporting the now-familiar phenomena of having their cars stop and later awakening in their vehicles with no knowledge of what happened during the intervening hours.
“If people see something they can’t explain, they try to fit it into existing patterns, even something reported by others…..They don’t have the mental discipline to look at something and not commit to what it is. ”
Can mysterious flying objects really cause car engines to falter and electrical systems to fail?
“The basic belief behind a car stop is that an electromagnetic (EM) field dampens the car’s electrical system and the engine effectively stops…..When reports began to come in about these encounters, we find that people driving cars with diesel engines didn’t report car stoppages, while people with regular car engines did. That supports the idea that something is happening, because people just making up stories wouldn’t originally make a distinction between diesel and non-diesel engines.”
A 1981 study of more than 400 cases of car stoppage due to electromagnetic failure by Mark Rodeghier for the Center for UFO Studies says that something significant is occurring — but what? Rodeghier concludes that:
“Some EM events occur in the presence of unknown metallic, noisy, disc-shaped objects…..Interesting, but no slam dunk for aliens.”
In fact, the large number of reported car/UFO encounters on desolate roads may be just a function of our own driving habits and not a particular attraction between cars, their drivers and UFOs:
“Regardless of what people are seeing that triggers UFO reports, about 90 per cent of them involve nocturnal lights……Where else might you be when you can clearly see nocturnal lights? Certainly not in the city where there’s too much ambient light. You’d likely be driving on a country road.”
Bigfoot sightings follow a similar pattern.
“The most common reports of Bigfoot are from people who claim to have seen one from their cars……It doesn’t mean that Bigfoot is an automobile aficionado — it just means that most people who encounter anything in the woods are driving through the woods.”

The Sun - Thames UFO & London Eye UFO Identified? (Feb 2008)
Back on the 29th December 2007 when the Sun published an image of a UFO which I believed (and still do) to be a seagull I mentioned that I believe any photograph that shows an object that wasn’t visible at the time the photograph was taken should be subjected to a more (dare I say it) skeptical analysis for obvious reasons than an intentionally photographed UFO. At this point it’s probably prudent to mention that I also feel that any photographs captured through a window of any kind should also be approached with added caution.
The Sun recently ran another, “Exclusive” story (28th February 2008) of what is again (in my opinion) obviously not a UFO, and yet again the object wasn’t visible at the time of capture.
The Sun also likes to quote, “UFO experts” that further advance their suppositions that the photographs they print actually depict an intelligently controlled alien spacecraft. Their latest offering stated that:
UFO experts have been left scratching their heads over the sighting….. Editor, cameraman and UFO researcher Chris Martin said: “I was looking for evidence that these have been fabricated…..I couldn’t find any evidence. It’s unprecedented because she produced three pictures, which seems to show it’s flying…..My own evaluation is that these photographs are genuine and have not been digitally manipulated or hoaxed…..These photos are, in my opinion as a UFO researcher, absolutely astounding and show a real object seemingly under intelligent control.”
I partly agree in that they haven’t been, “Digitally manipulated or hoaxed” indeed it’s very likely that the photographer was as puzzled by the anomaly as the head-scratching UFO expert was. I do however differ from the opinion that it’s a real (as in physically in the sky) object and as for how any control can be ascertained from two still images, let alone control of an intelligent nature…..
I strongly suspect (and hope) that this is, “The Sun” up to their usual embellishments or quoting out of context, last time it was Nick Pope, perhaps Nick was consulted and chose not to comment this time. Or perhaps The Sun contacted several UFO researchers until one had something to say that they wanted to hear?
Anyway…..
Here’s the article and images:
UFO snapped over Thames
A STUDENT was left shocked when she checked her tourist snaps of the London skyline - and spotted what looks like a flying saucer. University Of Exeter academic Karolina-Slavka Mueller was in London for the weekend, when she took some shots with her camera phone of the sights. But when she looked back at the January 19 night time pictures of Tower Bridge and the London Eye, she was shocked to see an apparent UFO.
And experts claim it is the real thing. Karolina said in an email: “What’s very strange about this is the fact that we didn’t actually see this object in the sky while I was taking the photos.

“I only discovered it once I loaded the photos onto my computer as I didn’t even look at the photos until then.” The images - taken around 3.50am - were taken eight minutes apart as Karolina and two pals drove through Central London . The apparent UFO is at an angle and appears to emit a mysterious blue light.
Karolina added: “None of us can come up with a reasonable answer to what this might have been…..One of my friends, the driver, has grown up in London and he can’t find a reasonable answer…..He says he’s never seen anything like it and that there definitely isn’t any building in this area that could look like this.”

UFO experts have been left scratching their heads over the sighting.

“This is a classic flying saucer-shaped UFO.”
A Ministry of Defence spokesperson did not comment on the sighting, saying: “The MoD examines reports solely to establish whether UK airspace may have been compromised by hostile or unauthorised military activity. “Unless there is evidence of a potential threat, there is no attempt to identify the nature of each sighting reported.”
Source: The Sun (UK)
The first thing is the position of the object in both images, the positioning of the object and its degree of tilt is identical (and the images were captured 8 minutes apart).

Identical parts of the outer ring are reflecting the same glare in exactly the same section.

If you look closely there appears to be small barcode-like green lines, at the top right of the circle that follows the circumference, the markings of a rev-counter/speedometer/fuel gauge? And the yellow dot in the middle of the object is either the base of or holder for the pointer?

(The images shown are for general comparison purposes
and are not intended to represent the actual dashboard dial)
Also the photographer changes the angle at which the two photographs are taken, the photograph of the London Eye she is definitely shooting to her right and the image of the Thames Bridge she is shooting straight ahead.

Now notice how the object moves relative to the shift in angles, it’s exactly how a reflection of the (drivers side) dashboard instruments would move, i.e. the shot taken with the camera pointing straight ahead then the reflection is over to the far right and when pointing to the right then the reflection in turn appears centred in the image
I’m sure that if the make of car could be determined then there will most certainly be a dial on the dashboard that (when car headlights are turned on) would correlate exactly with the position, shape and colours that are displayed in these images.
