UFO Sighting: Oregon Coast Camp Grounds, Oregon; 1996
Name: Brian Hanna Date of Event: 1996 Location of Event: Oregon Coast camp grounds Beach Side Message: It was my family reunion and some cousins and I were sitting around a bonfire around 11:30 at night. I (unfortunately) was the only one facing the ocean. A light appeared above the ocean that looked like a bright star. It was probably about 400 yards away and 200 ft above the water. It just turned on like a light switch. I was in awe and never said anything while it was happening. The light just sat in one spot never moved, never made any noise. Suddenly a spot light shot down from the bottom of the light onto the ocean surface. I could not see the ocean at 11:30 at night, but this spot light made the ocean visible where it was shining. The spot light moved to the left, then to the right. Then the spot light shut off and the original “star-like” light disappeared like a light switch turned it off. I then asked my cousins if they had seen what I had just seen and I got a response from my cousin Bruce saying, “what, did you see a U.F.O. or somethin?” I definitely had!
