Secret United Nations Meeting on UFO’s Confirmed!!
Secret United Nations Meeting on UFO’s Confirmed!!
And here’s the second (new) article regarding the secret UN UFO meeting:
Secret United Nations Meeting on UFO’s Publicly Confirmed by French Expert
A French aviation expert has come forward to reveal his participation in a secret meeting held at the United Nations New York headquarters that discussed the UFO phenomenon from February 12-14. Gilles Lorant is an attaché to the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique ( CNRS- National Center for Scientific Research) which is a government-funded research organization, under the administrative authority of France ’s Ministry of Research. He is also a member Institute of Advanced Studies for National Defense (IHEDN - the French Organization that produced the 1999 COMETA Report). Both CNRS and IHEDN are prestigious scientific organizations in France , and Lorant was invited to attend the UN meetings in a professional capacity. A report released by a French UFO organization (Federation of European Airplane ), of which Lorant is an executive member, contained a summary of the UN meeting where he describes what happened at the meeting.
Lorant revealed that a series of UN meetings were held over a three day period. In the meetings there was discussion of a confidential report, prepared by the U.S. Air Force and a branch of the National Guard, concerning the societal impact of UFO sightings. The initial meeting was held on February 12 and, according to Lorant’s report, led to a request by three U.S. Senators for further discussions. Additional meetings were held immediately after on February 13 and 14. The implication is that three U.S. Senators attended the secret UN meetings. The meetings were very concerned about social upheaval from continued UFO sightings and the testimonies of individuals claiming to have first hand knowledge about UFO’s, extraterrestrial life, and future global events. It was reported that adverse public reactions to UFO sightings could have a dramatic economic impact that could lead to recessions in some countries.
The emphasis on possible societal upheaval due to growing UFO sightings was reminiscent of recommendations of the 1953 Robertson Panel, convened by the CIA, which identified adverse public reactions as a major security threat that could be exploited by foreign enemies. The UN discussions appeared to match concerns identified in both the 1953 Robertson Panel and the 1961 Brookings Report to the U.S. Congress, over ramifications of UFO reports and the eventual discovery of extraterrestrial life.
2009 was raised as the year when an important change in official attitudes concerning the UFO phenomenon could be made. This suggested that the official debunking policy underway since the 1953 Robertson Panel would be abandoned and more serious study of the UFO phenomenon would occur. This indicated an important policy shift were the study of UFO’s would be officially encouraged. However, certain global conditions would have to be met for the official opening. Most important appeared to be social stability in G-8 countries and the maintenance of liberal democratic systems in developing nations. Lorant also suggested that an official opening in attitudes would only occur if UFO sightings continued to occur at present levels.
Lorant’s testimony provides independent corroboration for an anonymous source who first came forward on February 12 to reveal to two New York researchers (Clay and Shawn Pickering) that the UN meeting had taken place. The source’s testimony was revealed in two articles published by this author on February 13 and 20 , and a follow up article by Robert Morningstar on Feb 25. Lorant’s testimony gives more detailed information of what happened at the meeting, and is consistent with statements from the original source of the UN meeting concerning approximately 40 participants, multiple issues being discussed as well as the UFO phenomenon, and public reactions to increased UFO sightings. Most importantly, Lorant provides insight into reasons for a significant change in official public policy towards the UFO phenomenon.
The reported results of the UN meetings indicate agreement was reached for an international strategy to more seriously study the UFO phenomenon in a manner that maintains present levels of social stability. This raises the possibility that those presenting information on UFOs/extraterrestrial life deemed to threaten national stability or financial systems, would receive special attention by national security agencies. The meetings results suggest that an official change in government policy from ‘debunking’ to ‘openness’ concerning UFO’s would lead to official approval to narrowly define study of the UFO phenomenon. However, those claiming to have first hand experience of extraterrestrial life would be targeted as charlatans. The UN meeting thereby suggested continuation of policies aimed at exploiting divisions in the UFO community between researchers advocating a strictly scientific study of the UFO phenomenon, and those wishing to discuss testimonies/documentation concerning extraterrestrial life visiting Earth.
Lorant’s testimony finally suggests that governments are being driven to more open approach to the UFO phenomenon due to the recent increase sightings that are projected to continue well into 2009. What follows is a summary report of the UN meetings based on Lorant’s testimony that appears in a newsletter of the FEA.

Dear Friends,
For strictly professional reasons and by coincidence, an active member of the FEA was invited to the UN in New York in the week starting February 11, 2008. This person took part in the development of discussions on the subject of UFOs, after the meeting of February 12. These discussions at the United Nations, brought forth further deliberations during three conferences held behind closed doors on 13 and 14 February, to which our member had the honor and pleasure to attend.
Here is a summary of the minutes that Mr. Gilles Lorant, invited to the meetings, kindly shared with us about what was said at the United Nations in New York :
On 12 February, the U.S. Air Force and the National Guard would actually presented a report on the subject of UFOs and the impact of sightings on many communities in the United States . Since this report was considered important for industrialized countries, representatives from several countries were invited to attend. Then, at the request of three United States Senators, a series of three meetings took place in the [two] following days, in the presence of representatives of forty representatives from twenty-eight member countries, including the Vatican (two countries did not send representatives). On both days, the subject of UFO’s was discussed, for no more than an hour and a half, as one of the causes of social upheaval of a country, due to the high probability of economic recession resulting from the speeches of ‘contactees’, charlatans, religious [figures], some scientists and prophecies. Sightings of UFOs increase sharply the risk of social unrest threatening the political systems of several emerging democracies.
According to Mr. Gilles Lorant, what was discussed was an opening in official attitudes when publicly considering, in future, how to treat the UFO phenomenon.
An official opening to be held under two conditions:
1) Until the end of 2009, that social peace in the G8 countries is guaranteed around the liberal democratic model ( US version)
2) By the end of 2009, that the UFO sightings disturbing “our neighbors” continues throughout the world.
Furthermore, also discussed was what position to adopt in case a non-aligned country decided to make public their findings on the [UFO] topic. The atmosphere was rather serious, according to Mr. Lorant, the participants were, in fact, cognizant of the “presence of our neighbors” in our environment.
Conclusion
The suggestion agreed upon at the United Nations by the representatives of the 28 nations, in the course of these exchanges, is of paramount importance for public recognition of the topic. The official treatment of information relating to UFOs could be a turning point at the international level, if the circumstances remain favorable. The coming years could show a surprising development of papers on the subject on the part of our governments.

UK UFO Reports - From The Sublime To The Ridiculous
A couple of stories appeared on the internet lately and usually I wouldn’t mention either of them but seeing as they compliment each other so well I decided this alone warrants a mention.
First off we have the Grantham Journal and an old much disputed image submitted by a reader trying to pass it off as recent. Not only did the Grantham Journal realise this, they still chose to run the story, they offered a little background on the image and also provided links to UFOCasebook.com for further reading as well as naming and shaming the hoaxer!! Encore!!
The article was published on 5th March 2008, and was as follows:
Reader tries to pass off fake UFO picture.
The photo Wayne Mills claims is his
BUT, was actually taken in Mexico 13 years ago.
Wednesday, 8.50am: A Journal reader has tried to pass off a famous UFO picture as a genuine sighting over Grantham. Wayne Mills brought in this picture of what he said was a UFO hovering over Old Somerby last weekend, saying:
“It was just hovering there…..It was like a fireball but it was moving up and down…..It looked pretty small but the light coming from it was huge…..It was there for a few seconds and then when it went, I went as well.”
However the picture is a well-known ‘UFO sighting’ taken by Mexican man Carlos Diaz on December 21, 1994 while taking photos of the eruption of Mount Popocatepetl in Puebla , Mexico .
The picture has been examined worldwide by many photographic experts and published in numerous magazines, newspapers, and books. It shows a glowing, yellowish, disc shaped object with a red hue toward the top and windows or portholes.
Diaz, a highly controversial figure in Ufology alleges to have been contacted by aliens directly. He is considered a charlatan by many Ufologists. To see Diaz’s original photo (the same as Mr Mills’) and to read moreabout his photos from Mexico - not Old Somerby - click on the links below:

Anybody who has read more than a couple of UFO articles in the press will be well aware of the, “Giggle factor ” and the dismissive attitudes that are usually prevalent when reporting the phenomena. To see a newspaper run an article like this is truly a breath of fresh air, and for a relatively small local newspaper it’s admirable and commendable!!
Well, as the title of this post suggests we go from one extreme to another, as I mentioned earlier the following article is sadly what we’ve come to expect from our media. It’s from the Enfield Independent and was published the day before on Tuesday 4th March, 2008 and was rather misleadingly titled, “The moment when aliens decided to land in Enfield .”
Additionally I bet the employers of the photographer (Pleasance) were overjoyed to be name checked in the farcical account as he’s currently a costs engineer for Amec, and was apparently surprised to see it resembles the company logo!!
Here’s the image and the (shortened) article:
The moment when aliens decided to land in Enfield
THIS is the moment that, in an unassuming residential road, a man believes he witnessed aliens landing in Enfield . Engineer Paul Pleasance, 50, of Ladysmith Road , said the apparition, or half-alien, or perhaps strange pattern of light, lingered for half an hour outside his window.
Mr Pleasance, a costs engineer for Amec, an engineering and project management consultancy, said he was even more bemused to find that it looked a bit like his company logo.
But it seems for one morning in Enfield that aliens may really have landed.

The Drone UFO Timeline - Explained?
This started off as a regular run of the mill post on the current happenings with regards the Drones but it ended up as more of a short Novel!! So rather than split it into separate posts I’ve decided to start the post on my Blog as usual but continue it on a dedicated page…..
As regular readers will know I’ve been interested in the Drones since the story first broke, I’ve participated in many forums on the subject of the Drones and met many, many people, all of whom I hold in high regard regardless of their opinions and I’ve also offered regular commentary on the Drones as any new events occurred.
Since the story is quickly unfolding courtesy of the labours of two Private Investigators I wanted to make a couple of observations.
I fear that the relevant information regarding the Drone UFOs is in serious danger of becoming obfuscated beyond recognition. Linda Moulton Howe (LMH) has published what she calls an, “Eyewitness Timeline” of the Drones, somewhat selectively including/numbering Drone reports that were ONLY submitted to her, or reports in which she had some part to play.
So if you see or know anything about the Drones while I encourage people to submit their information to LMH, I would strongly recommend that this is NOT your only means of disclosing what you know. Especially when you realise that in a couple of months or so, your information will for all intents and purposes became of the, “Pay Per View” variety, due solely to the, “Unique” way that LMH moves her archived material to her (paid) subscribers section.
Indeed the photographs of the Drone that were taken at Big Basin which she was sent numbered 12 in total. Images she was sent with the sole intention of getting the information out there for public dissemination. LMH scanned and resized the images which greatly reduced the resolution before releasing them. This justifiably caused an uproar among the online UFO community and after she received many, many emails over this refusal to release the images as she received them and as intended, LMH finally released ONE of the TWELVE images she received at a resolution which was high enough to enable a more thorough analysis. Now it’s coming up to nearly a year since she received these images and she STILL REFUSES TO RELEASE them!!

Anomalous Data & UFO Hot-Spots In The UK
I feel there’s something not quite right about the recent results of the Virgin Media Report into UK UFO Hot-Spots. It seems as if every subsequent news report relating to their findings has involved disingenuous data and it’s probably to be expected considering the careful wording of the original press release/s.
I’m referring to instances like the statement that Nick Pope, “Supports the study.” Not that Nick, “Carried out the study” or, “Assisted” but that he merely supports the study…..
This post isn’t so much about UFOs but rather about the poor reporting that is peddled to us every day, this time it just happens to be in regard to UFOs. It may seem a bit banal to highlight the obviously flawed media-machine but it just pisses me off that something as simple as the details of a report could be so badly misinterpreted by virtually ever local newspaper website that subsequently latched onto it.
From the official Virgin Media webpage (virginmedia.com/ufo) that displays the details:
The Top 10 UFO hotspots in the UK
1. West Yorkshire (34)
2. Nottingham (29)
3. Lancashire (24)
4. Shropshire (22)
5. North Somerset and Avon (22)
6. Suffolk (19)
7. South Wales (18)
8. County Durham (17)
9. Lanarkshire (15)
10. Devon (15)
“Virgin Media has been tracking data which goes back to 1961, revealing an astounding 609 unexplained sightings across the UK ….. ‘The Virgin Media Files’ detailing the counties you’re most likely to see a UFO, supported by the former head of the Government’s UFO project, Nick Pope. ”
Seems reasonable enough, and the first report I seen online by the Halifax Courier would seem to confirm all of these facts:
Halifax – Courier (14 March 2008)
‘The Virgin Media Files’ have been compiled from data which goes back to 1961.
Nick Pope said: “While we currently have no explanation why certain places in the UK are alien hot spots, as the research reveals, there are areas where mysterious objects are repeatedly witnessed”
“So people who want to alien-spot should definitely head to Halifax.”
Then a day later the exact same online Newspaper ran the following article:
Halifax – Courier (15 March 2008)
There is a UFO sighting every four months in the area, dubbed “West York-fear”, according to Virgin Media. The study was conducted by Nick Pope, a former government UFO advisor, and taken from data going back to 1994.
Mr Pope said: “While we currently have no explanation why certain places in the UK are alien hot spots, as the research reveals, there are areas where mysterious objects are repeatedly witnessed.”
“So people who want to alien-spot should definitely head to Yorkshire.”
The same newspaper is now saying Nick didn’t support the report but actually conducted it. Also instead of 1961 it’s now supposed to be, “Taken from data going back to 1994.”
This Is Plymouth (17 March 2008)
People in Plymouth can expect a close encounter of the extra-terrestrial kind - Devon is ranked number 10 in a specially compiled list of Britain ’s top 10 UFO hotspots.
‘The Virgin Media Files’ have been compiled from data which goes back to 1961 and highlight 15 unexplained sightings in Devon alone - including a silent, circular object which was spotted over Barnstaple in 1964.
Bury Free Press (18 March 2008)
Strange spheres hovering above Bury St Edmunds have helped to make Suffolk a ‘hot spot’ for UFOs, according to an expert on the unexplained. With 19 sightings since 1961, the county has come sixth in a list of top 10 places to spot a UFO compiled by Nick Pope, the former head of a Government project looking at UFOs
Sunderland Echo (20 March 2008)
Nick Pope said: “While we currently have no explanation why certain places in the UK are alien hot spots, as the research reveals, there are areas where mysterious objects are repeatedly witnessed.
“So people who want to alien-spot should definitely head to Durham.”
This Is Lancashire (21 March 2008)
“While we currently have no explanation why certain places in the UK are alien hot spots, as the research reveals, there are areas where mysterious objects are repeatedly witnessed”
“So people who want to alien-spot should definitely head to Lancashire.”
So we have a study that has collected data from either 1961, 1994 or 2000 onwards and it would appear that people who want to alien-spot should definitely head to Halifax or Yorkshire or Durham or Lancashire or…..
Well I’m sure you get the picture and remember these were exact quotes credited to Nick Pope, who in turn may have conducted the study or may have just thought it was a good idea!! Depending entirely on which, “UFO Hot-Spot” locale you are situated closest to, and of course which local news report you are unfortunate enough to read…..
